Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to provide and improve our service: • Automatically Collected Information: IP addresses (for rate limiting and abuse prevention), browser type and version (for compatibility), device information (for optimization), usage patterns and timestamps (for service improvement), referral source (for analytics). • User-Provided Information: Text prompts you submit for PFP generation (temporarily processed, not permanently stored), language preferences (stored locally in browser), Cloudflare Turnstile verification tokens (for bot prevention). • We DO NOT collect: Personal identification information (name, email, phone), account credentials (no registration required), payment information (service is free), location data beyond IP-based country detection.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for the following purposes: • Service Delivery: Processing your prompts to generate PFPs, optimizing generation speed and quality, delivering generated PFPs to your browser. • Abuse Prevention: Implementing rate limits to prevent overuse, detecting and blocking malicious bots and scrapers, identifying and preventing abuse of our service, maintaining service availability for all users. • Service Improvement: Analyzing usage patterns to improve features, monitoring system performance and reliability, identifying and fixing technical issues. • Legal Compliance: Complying with applicable laws and regulations, responding to legal requests from authorities, protecting our rights and the rights of others.
3. Data Storage and Retention
We minimize data storage and implement strict retention policies: • Prompts: Your text prompts are processed in real-time and NOT permanently stored. They are held in memory during generation and immediately discarded after completion. • Generated PFPs: PFPs are temporarily cached for delivery (typically 1-2 hours) and then automatically deleted. We do not maintain long-term storage of your generated PFPs. • Usage Logs: IP addresses and timestamps for rate limiting are stored in Redis cache with automatic expiration (24-hour maximum). Aggregated analytics data (no personal information) is retained for service improvement. • Security Data: Fingerprints and security tokens used for abuse prevention are stored temporarily (5-30 minutes) and automatically expire.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for limited purposes: • Essential Cookies: Language preference cookie (stores your selected language), Cloudflare security cookies (for bot protection), session cookies (for rate limiting). • Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics cookies (for anonymized usage statistics), these cookies help us understand how users interact with our service. • Advertising Cookies: Google AdSense cookies (for displaying relevant ads), these support our free service model. • You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit some functionality.
5. Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third-party services that have their own privacy policies: • AI PFP Generation: We use enterprise AI services to process your prompts and generate PFPs. These services process data according to their own privacy policies and data protection agreements. • Cloudflare: Provides DDoS protection, CDN services, and Turnstile verification. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy These third parties are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for specified purposes.
